September usually means an iPhone-event so it wasn’t a surprise when Apple sent out invites to their event this year. Apple revealed three new models, iPhone Xs, Xs Max and a cheaper model called iPhone Xr. The Xs versions have already been released in September but the Xr will start selling later in October. Some of the big news this year are better cameras and the option to change depth-of-field of pictures after they’ve been taken. The big difference in the cheaper model Xr is the lower resolution LCD-panel being used, and the camera which only has one lens instead of two.
The big news in all three models is the new A12 Bionic chip. Apple’s processors in the past years have shown to be more powerful than it’s competitors and there’s no doubt that the new A12 processor will continue to impress.
The new models will come in the following configurations and prices:
- iPhone XR: $749/64GB, $799/128GB, $899/256GB
- iPhone XS: $999/64GB, $1,149/256GB, $1,349/512GB
- iPhone XS Max: $1,099/64GB, $1,249/256GB, $1,449/512GB
The iPhone Xr will be available for pre-order October 19th and be available online and in-stores October 26th.
