Furrion RV Camera Kits Reviews & Info
Furrion Vision S RV Backup System Rear Sharkfin Camera
This Furrion RV Backup camera system is one of the most popular for every kind of RVer.
It’s the camera kit that’s made for Furrion pre-wired RVs, but it’s also good for campers that don’t have any pre-mounts because Furrion includes the sharkfin mount anyways.
This system includes their standard RV backup camera and a monitor.
You can choose between a 4.3, 5, or 7 inch monitor.
If you think you might get more cameras later I recommend getting the 5 or 7 inch option because the 4.3 inch monitor can only connect to one camera.
The camera is IP65 waterproof, films in 720×480 resolution, has smart IR cut filters, and uses a wide lens for a 120 degree viewing angle.
All new Furrion camera systems are wireless. There’s an antenna on both the camera and the monitor.
The connection is advertised to be reliable up to 50 feet at high speeds.
That means you should be able to use this as both a backup camera and a rearview traffic camera while you’re driving.
There’s also a microphone on the camera so you can hear what the person helping you back up is saying.
There’s also a motion sensor that will wake the monitor when the camera senses something moving in its view.
This is great when using the Furrion cameras for security.
This kit is great for RV owners with a Furrion pre-wired RV or anyone who is looking to create a fantastic RV camera system in the future.
PROS
- Compatible with Furrion pre-wired RVs.
- Includes Monitor
- Can add more cameras to the system later.
- Can be used above the RV door.
CONS
- Most complicated install for RVs without pre-wire.
- 4.3″ monitor cannot connect to multiple cameras.
Furrion RV Backup System Rear Marker Light Camera
This is the kit for RV owners who want to add an RV backup camera to a camper that doesn’t already have a Furrion pre-wire kit installed.
Furrion offers this unique RV backup camera rear maker light combo that makes installing a backup camera really easy.
The traditional sharkfin mounts require drilling holes into the rear of your RV, splicing and running wires from a marker light, and using sealants.
This option removes pretty much all of the complicated stuff.

Since RV backup cameras are usually powered using the wires from rear marker lights Furrion has combined both so you don’t have to install the camera underneath the light.
All you have to do is remove the center rear marker light and connect the wires from that to the new Furrion marker light.
This kit is not recommended for RVs that are pre-wired for Furrion cameras since this camera doesn’t fit into the sharkfin mount.
PROS
- Simple Install
- Includes Monitor
- Can add more cameras to the system later.
CONS
- Not for RVs with Furrion pre-wire kit installed.
Furrion Vision S Full RV Camera System
The Furrion Vision S 4 camera system is the largest camera kit Furrion offers.
A Furrion backup camera monitor that’s 5 or 7 inches can connect up to 4 cameras, so this kit offers the maximum amount of cameras you can use with one monitor.
Included with this kit are two side marker light cameras, a rear marker light camera, and a sharkfin mount camera.
There are cameras for the sides and rear. The extra camera is meant to be placed over the door but you can install it anywhere you want on your RV.

Some people like to have a camera on the front of the RV so they can monitor the hitch while driving.
If you have an RV with a Furrion pre-wire kit installed the sharkfin camera will be compatible with that but not the rear marker light.
One way you can use this kit with a Furrion pre-wire kit is to use the sharkfin camera on the mount that is already installed in the back and put the rear marker light camera on the front of the RV.
Just swap out the red marker light cover for one that matches the front running lights of your RV.
PROS
- Rear marker light not compatible with Furrion pre-wire.
- Removes all RV blind spots.
- Easy to install
CONS
- Only 5 or 7 inch monitor options
Furrion RV Backup & Side Camera System
The sharkfin backup camera with two side marker light cameras is the kit I recommend to those with pre-wired RVs.
It’s perfect because the rear camera is compatible with a Furrion pre-mount and you can also easily install the side cameras.
Side cameras on an RV are incredibly useful.
Even if you have large mirrors there’s always a chance that a car is going to be in the way when you want to make a lane change.
The side cameras take away that risk and they also help you see your road position better.
If you plan on using your Furrion RV camera system for security the side cameras are a must have.
PROS
- Included backup camera is Furrion pre-wire compatible.
- Easy to install side marker light cameras.
- Eliminates side blindspots
- One more camera can be added later
CONS
- Backup camera is harder to install if RV isn’t pre-wired
- Only 5 and 7 inch monitor options
Furrion Vision S RV Side Marker Cameras
If you already have a Furrion RV backup camera and you would like to add some side view ones this is the kit you want.
There are two side marker light cameras included, one for each side, and that’s it.
They can connect to the monitor you already have for your backup camera so long as it’s a Furrion and it’s the 5 or 7 inch models.

The installation is more simple because of the marker light design.
The design is slightly different but these Furrion side view cameras have all of the capabilities and features of the backup camera except for one thing.
There is no microphone on either of these cameras.
PROS
- Eliminate blind spots
- Easy install
- Can be used in Furrion security system
- Can be used with Furrion backup camera (5″ & 7″ monitors only)
CONS
- Only compatible with 5 and 7 inch monitors
Furrion Vision S Rear Sharkfin Camera
This is just the Furrion RV backup camera with a sharkfin mount. There is no monitor included.
This is the best option for replacing a broken Furrion backup camera, or if you want to add more cameras of this style to your RV.
It can be installed pretty much anywhere. Many campers like to have one over the RV door or in the front of the RV facing the hitch.
This has all of the features of the kit with the monitor including the motion sensors and microphone.
Furrion RV Backup Camera Conclusion
Furrion makes some of the most popular RV backup cameras on the market today.
There are a lot of nice features and kits with different camera options available and it’s easy to add more cameras later on if you have the 5 or 7 inch monitor.
If you have a pre-wired RV with a Furrion mount and plug already installed the options with the sharkfin camera are going to be the best choice.
For those of you who want to install a camera where there’s never been a camera installed before getting the options with the marker light cameras is going to make installation really quick and easy.
