Small Air Fryer & Pan Needed For Meatloaf
The mini air fryer we use in our RV is the 2 quart Instant Vortex 4-in-1 Air Fryer (click to view on Amazon).
The pan we use that fits perfectly inside is the Fat Daddio’s 5×2 Round Cake Pan (click to view on Amazon).
Mini Air Fryer Meatloaf Recipe
Meatloaf For Small Air Fryers
- 2 Quart Air Fryer
- Fat Daddio's 5×2 Round Cake Pan
- 1 Pound Ground Beef
- 1 Egg
- 1 Onion
- 3/4 Cup Milk
- 3/4 Cup Bread Crumbs
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Pepper
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Mustard
- 1/3 Cup Ketchup
- Chop or grate onion.
- In large mixing bowl combine milk and bread crumbs. Let sit for 1 minute.
- Add ground beef, egg, onion, salt, and pepper to milk and bread crumb mixture.
- Mix until thoroughly combined.
- Grease 5 inch cake pan with butter.
- Add 1/2 of meatloaf mixture to pan.
- In small mixing bowl combine brown sugar, mustard, and ketchup.
- Spread 1/2 of sauce onto meatloaf. (this step is optional if you don't like sauce on your meatloaf)
- Set small air fryer to 350F on air fry or bake mode.
- Cook meatloaf for 20-25 minutes or until center reaches 160F.
Can add 1 teaspoon garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika for more flavor.
How To Make Small Air Fryer Meatloaf Recipe
In this super simple meatloaf recipe there are really only 5 main ingredients but it turns out tender and moist every time.
The first thing you need to do is chop up your onion into small pieces. You can also grate the onion using a cheese grater if you prefer not to have pieces of onion in your meatloaf.
In a large mixing bowl combine the bread crumbs and the milk. Let it sit for about a minute to give the bread crumbs time to soften and expand.
Doing this results in a more airy and moist meatloaf.
Now you can add the rest of the ingredients (excluding the brown sugar, mustard, and ketchup).
It’s not a requirement but if you want to add a few more spices to your meatloaf that’s totally fine.
Meatloaf is a really forgiving dish you can add a lot of things to if you want to switch up the flavors a little bit.
You can add a teaspoon of garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika or some other favorite spices.
Mix until everything is well combined. Make sure all the ground beef has been broken up so you don’t end up with dense chunks of meat in your meatloaf.
Lightly grease the Fat Daddio’s cake pan with butter and add 1/2 of the meatloaf mixture to it. Do not fill the pan all the way. Make sure there is around 1/2 inch of space left for the sauce.
Use a spoon to make the top of the meatloaf smooth and even.
If you don’t like to put sauce on your meatloaf you can skip this next step and start air frying your meatloaf right away.
For the sauce, combine the brown sugar, mustard, and ketchup in a small bowl. You can leave out the mustard if you don’t like it.
Once the sauce is made spread about 1/2 of it onto the top of the meatloaf mixture waiting in the cake pan.
Set the mini air fryer to 350F and cook for 20-25 minutes.
The final inner temperature of the small air fryer meatloaf should reach 160F.
One small air fryer pan of meatloaf serves about 2 people. The entire recipe serves 4.
