Camping At Welcome Station RV Park Near Wells Nevada

We’ve stayed at a lot of RV Parks and Welcome Station RV Park has been one of the best one so far.

The entire park is covered in thick green grass and there’s even a creek and a pond on the property not far from you park your RV.

There are huge trees all over and every site has plenty of shade and a decent amount of space.

The hook-ups were in great condition and the water was so clean and clear we didn’t need to use our water filter.

The electrical was steady and stayed around 118-120 volts according to our surge protector.

There are a bunch of campsites. The road makes a big loop through the property with the pull-throughs in the center and easy to back into RV spots along the edges.

If you want to be near the creek you can ask to be placed in one of the sites on that side.

The owners are a retired couple who run the park in the summer and live in their RV down south in the winter.

They were very friendly, accommodating, and helpful while we were there.

We were even given some homemade banana bread the morning we left.

Everything is super clean and there’s a picnic table for every site as well as benches, a swing, and chairs scattered throughout the park you can relax on.

"Bench </picture>

Like many RV Parks, there are showers, bathrooms, and laundry facilities available to use. It’s also pet friendly.

What It’s Like To Camp At Welcome Station RV Park Near Wells, NV

After chatting with one of the owners one morning we were told we could walk under the nearby freeway to get a view of the mountains to the south.

We did as we were told and ended up on a dirt road that offered stunning views of the mountains as well as a beautiful green pasture to walk along.

The freeway is right next to the RV park which is both a plus and minus.

It’s a plus because it makes Welcome Station RV Park an easy place to stop and rest up when traveling.

It’s a minus because you can hear bigger vehicles driving by sometimes.

When we were there in May 2020, they were repaving the entire thing.

According to the owners, the construction has made the freeway much quieter. We had no trouble sleeping and the noise wasn’t too bothersome.

Wells Nevada is a small town about 65 miles west of West Wendover, NV.

It’s all on its own and there wasn’t much to do in town but there are some great places to explore around Wells including some very popular hot springs and a small ghost town called “Metropolis.”

We took the time to drive out to the ghost town while we were there.

It’s mostly just two large decapitated cement buildings but the arch that’s leftover on the main building is fantastic and a great place for photos.

It was worth the trip and the road is fine for all kinds of vehicles.

The RV park itself is somewhere you could hang out at for a few days without needing to go anywhere.

It’s in such a beautiful area and the grass and creek are amazing.

My Review Of Welcome Station RV Park Near Wells, NV

We enjoyed our stay at Welcome Station RV Park, and we will be staying there whenever we pass through that area.

"Small </picture>

We stayed there for two nights and I wish it could have been longer.

The large shady trees, the nearby pastures with horses and cows meandering around, and the creek make the entire area magical.

You can see distant mountains and go for long walks on the dirt road on the other side of the freeway.

We’ve stayed in some pretty rundown RV parks and this was not one of them. It’s even worth paying full price.

If you are a fan of RV Park communities, meeting new people, and beautiful campsites then Welcome Station RV Park is the perfect place to stop and relax for a few days.
